On Saturday, 27th of March 2021, the city of Paris honored the National Hero of Afghanistan Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud with a plaque naming a square to his name, recognizing his ideals of liberty, justice, and peace for Afghanistan. On this occasion, Mr. Ahmad Massoud the son of late commander Massoud, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Hamid Karzai the former President of Afghanistan, Bernard-Henri Lévy, the Mayer of Paris & other dignitaries attended the inauguration ceremony to honor the memories of the national hero of Afghanistan as a champion of freedom & a fighter against terrorism.
Mr. Ahmad Massoud, the son of late commander Massoud showed his gratitude to the French nation saying, “During the centennial of Afg-French Relations and twenty years after my father’s trip to France, his spirit and memory continues to live. Paris, the City of Light, paid homage to Cmdr Massoud, the embodiment of enlightened Islam & the symbol of liberty and resistance. This honor that was bestowed upon my family and country will never be forgotten and we will cherish it forever.”
